FAQ

COLLAGEN

What is collagen?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in our body and is responsible for maintaining healthy skin, hair, nails, and joints. From our mid-twenties, our natural collagen production begins to decrease and continues to slow as we get older. As a result, our hair, skin and nails become impaired.

Introducing Innour’s oral marine collagen into your daily routine provides your body with the necessary building blocks to continue to produce collagen as you age.

What is marine collagen made from?

Marine collagen is a collagen peptide supplement derived from fish skin. Marine collagen is an effective way to supplement the collagen your body loses during ageing. It also works to stimulate your body’s own natural collagen production, promoting healthy hair and nails, strong joints and keeping your cheekbones plumper for longer.

Where is our marine collagen sourced from?

All life is important to us, which is why we source our collagen from responsibly farmed fish. This way we can ensure that no natural ecosystems are harmed or disrupted in our production process. The efficacy of our collagen comes down to two key things: preparation and dosage. Our marine collagen is hydrolysed, meaning we have broken it down into smaller peptides to make it easier for your body to absorb. In fact, your body can absorb over 90% of our marine collagen. And our dosage is clinical-grade, meaning it’s stronger and therefore more efficient.

Can I consume marine collagen while pregnant or breastfeeding?

This is not something we can advise on. You should always consult a trusted healthcare professional before making any adjustments to your body, diet and routine when pregnant or breastfeeding, including the use of supplements.

Has Innour been tested for quality & safety?

Our formulations have been rigorously tested for quality and safety. Every batch is independently tested through a NATA-certified lab to ensure the formula is stable, the nutrition profile is accurate and that there are no toxins or heavy metals detected. Innour products meet all required Australian and international quality and safety standards.

How many servings should I consume daily?

For best results, we recommend consuming 10 grams of our natural marine collagen per day. That’s ONE sachet/scoop TWICE a day or TWO sachets/scoops ONCE a day. If you’re new to collagen we recommend starting with just one serve daily (5g). You may gradually build up to two servings (10 g) per day over 8-12 weeks, depending on your desired routine.

Are there any side effects of taking marine collagen?

Side effects tend to be mild but may include:

• Gastrointestinal discomfort including bloating, feeling of fullness, heartburn. These symptoms will generally settle once your body adjusts to ingesting collagen. A slow introduction to using collagen is best.

• Lingering aftertaste.
